Prerequsites#
You have to be a WeChat user frist, instead of a Weixin user. Typically a user registered with a mobile number with from mainland China will be Weixin user. Rumors say a Weixin account can be converted to WeChat by linking a new non mainland China mobile number. But I didn't verify it.
To know if you are WeChat or Weixin user, you could check your Settings->About WeChat->Terms of Service.

Step by Step Tutorial:#
Step1: Go to Settings -> My Information & Authorizations -> Export Personal Data
Assume you have never linked your email before, you need to link your email. If you have, go ahead to Step2.
You will recieve an email to confirm your link email request. Click the "OK" as prompted.
Step2: Assume you have already linked your email, you might need to click "Export Personal Data" again. This time you will be prompted to confirm your export data request in your eamil.
Step3: After verification in you email, you could select what you want to export.
Step4: Though it says "72 hours", it could take just a few minutes thne you will recieve an email instructing you how to download your data.
Step5: Congrats! Finally you could export your data!
