This article is a summary of January 22nd to January 28th, 2023.
Scene#
As the music starts playing, everyone starts running with the floats, waving and shouting, as if laughter is the only thing allowed in the world.
This scene is the start of the parade at Disneyland. Happy music plays over the loudspeakers, and all the visitors run towards the floats, joining the parade and waving and shouting with the dolls. With the volume of the broadcast, people's voices are no longer heard, as if sadness is a crime and only joy is allowed to exist.
Life#
This week, except for January 28th, was the Spring Festival holiday. Fortunately, I managed to avoid family socializing by traveling with relatives. The holiday travelogue has been updated separately on my tg channel, and it has also been synchronized to Crossbell through xSync.
According to the regulations in mainland China, this year's Spring Festival holiday is 7 days of public holiday followed by 7 consecutive working days. In this situation, it is inevitable for me to reflect once again on this abnormal "adjustment" system. If you believe that people are humans and not human batteries, then obviously 7 consecutive working days are unreasonable. Apart from the moral perspective, have you heard people's sighs in the holiday crowds: "If simply taking a holiday can stimulate people's consumption like this, why not have more holidays?" Why? I seem to know and yet not know. Even trying to achieve a smaller degree of freedom has been difficult for me. I may not have enough wisdom to think about these issues.
Information#
- Inspired by zu1k, I have decided to manually maintain a "recent reading" list on Notion: https://mud-zydeco-b0a.notion.site/553f84a77e694d9ab303d110e9c1ac20. The significance of collecting and sharing information doesn't need to be explained further, but the existing tools cannot meet this need very well. I have discussed this type of requirement with like-minded friends in the community many times recently, and we have basically determined the form of the product we want to create. I hope we can have the opportunity to promote this as soon as possible. Until our side project is completed, I will continue to manually maintain my "recent reading" list.
- This week, I finished reading "Confessions of a Mask". This is the first book by Mishima that I have read, and when I had only read about 10 pages, I exclaimed that this book is amazing. The depiction of desire is explicit but not vulgar, and it made my head spin and unable to stop reading. I finally understand why everyone praises Mishima's writing style.
